Description

This episode we shifted from the entrepreneurial talk and spoke to an Ohio Basketball Legend Jared Sullinger. Jared is most known for his two years at Ohio State where as a freshman he lead his team in scoring and rebounds as they advanced to the Sweet 16 and to the Final Four as a Sophomore before losing to Kansas. Jared spoke about his time at Ohio State and his early years in the league. After a few injuries he found himself out of the league and trying to figure out his next move. We spoke about how he fought through times of adversity and ultimately was able to rejuvenate his career overseas in China. Jared and I connected through his older brother Jules after he gave him a “LYP” hoodie last winter. He wore his hoodie every game day as a ritual, dominating against teams leading his team to a championship. Jared’s story is symbolic of what is means to “Live Your Purpose”. He had great success early on, faced adversity, and stayed true to himself and is currently enjoying his life as a married man and father in Columbus. Enjoy the episode. LYP
