Let conscious acts of thanksgiving, praise and prayer, re-focus, strengthen and refresh us! What comes in through our eyes and ears is so important. To counter fear, anxiety and mistrust let’s be those who turn first to God.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Let your Prayer focus be for those who are in social isolation because they are in a vulnerable group, such as elderly people in care and nursing homes, severely disabled children and those with underlying diseases who have to stay away from others. Give thanks for, and ask God, to help all those caring for them in homes and in the community and for relatives unable to visit at the moment.
Send an encouraging note or card to let people know they are not forgotten while they cannot have physical visitors. Some residents and patients in care homes and hospitals may not have access to a mobile device, so using snail mail might be the best alternative!
Let your Worship Focus be: Today let’s declare our trust in God for the vulnerable; let’s ‘Raise a hallelujah in the presence of our enemies’.
