Description

Tocarra Mallard is a comedian, writer, and actress working in New York City. She is a staff writer on The Problem With Jon Stewart streaming on Apple TV+. Her stand-up career began in Chicago where she also took improv and acting classes at The Second City. Tocarra co-wrote and starred in an episode of the web series 'The Open Mic' which can be seen on YouTube. In my interview with Tocarra Mallard, we discuss her journey in stand-up comedy, writing, and improv. She shares some really incredible insights that anyone can apply to their careers, especially creatively. She was gracious enough to share some of her favorite pieces of advice for aspiring comedians and writers, which I really appreciated. This episode is for anyone looking to learn from someone who is actively working and succeeding in comedy and television writing on an Emmy-Nominated show. Thank you again to Tocarra for sharing your experience with our audience. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
