Also, State Senator Jeff Brandes has introduced a bill to weaken the minimum wage increase bill that just passed with great voter support, adversely affecting many workers such as younger workers and those convicted of a felony. Governor Ron DeSantis has to get in on it too with a bill to fine social media companies for banning accounts of political figures for spewing disinformation, under the guise of blocking “censorship.”
We cover more of Marjorie Taylor Greene’s nonsense, including the space lasers & attempts to harass Muslim members of Congress to swear in on a Christian bible. On this week’s Amendment Time, we talk about the 17th Amendment, which changed the way Senators are elected. Originally, state legislatures chose U.S. Senators for their state; with this Amendment, U.S. Senators are elected by the voters of their state.
