Description

In this episode, Ben and Steve are joined by Claire Tamplin, The Mindful Movement Coach. Claire shares her journey from being an English teacher to becoming an innovator in holistic education. She talks about the importance of emotional health and fitness in schools and the need to move beyond a narrow focus on academic subjects.

Claire introduces the concept of mindful movement, which is about getting out of your head and into your body, and explains how it can help manage stress and improve emotional well-being.

She emphasises the importance of authenticity, imperfection, and celebrating successes. The conversation explores the concept of being a changemaker and the importance of using one's voice to create positive change. It emphasises the need for creativity, connectivity, courage, community, and clarity as essential skills for students to thrive in the future workforce. The surprising element in a transformed education system would be starting each school day with gratitude, fostering a positive and present mindset for learning. The biggest challenges in achieving the future of education include the uncertainty of the future workforce and the lack of time given to young people to fail and learn from their mistakes.
