Solomon comes to old age considering the fullness of life, or emptiness of it. Ecclesiastes is a reflective philosophical work demonstrating the conventional wisdom of Solomon at work. The first two chapters introduce a grand intellectual exercise to consider all worldviews and weigh them for the best approach to life. He then considers life without God's revelations and only with what can be known 'Under the Sun'.
