In this episode I chat with inspiring mama of two Kate Baggerson. Kate always knew she wanted a home birth & chose to fully inform herself about birth during her pregnancy. She talks about how both her Homebirths were completely yin & yang and how beautiful the midwives were at her birth - she describes that through her most intense contractions “in every moment they entered there to meet it with you.”
We hear the funny details of her quick second birth with her daughter playing a key role - creating humour which got her out of some of the most intense parts of her final labour.
Kate hopes that one day we will see more of a transition to homebirths and she says she “would do labour any day“! She mentions how after her homebirths she was able to have a cup of tea in the comfort of her own bed with her midwife nearby and enjoyed being in her own space.
