The story found in Matthew, about Jesus walking on the water, is one of profound faith. I love this story because it humanizes Peter, it emphasises Jesus, and helps me to see that I may capsize under the weight of sin if I take my eyes off of the Lord. The storms will come. The waves and the wind will be relentless. But God is with us! It is easy to have faith in the boat... I want to have faith outside of the boat.
