A former zookeeper, Rachael Tom has worked in numerous zoological and aquarium facilities for over a decade. From hand-rearing fennec fox pups throughout the night to respond to emergency calls over the two-way radio, she led a very fulfilling but demanding career working with responding wildlife. Although Rachael has since traded in her khaki shorts and walkie-talkie to pursue more administrative roles, she still enjoys reflecting on her time working as a zookeeper.
