Tune into this 50-minute episode + I speak with Susan Clinton, Physical Therapist + she shares about our bodies and how when they are out of balance they cause issues for us.
Key Points:
• When your body is out of balance, you can begin to have pains and other issues.
• There are certain times within females that make them more vulnerable to an imbalance within their bodies. This includes hormonal changes etc.
• When one part of our body is not in balance, it can throw off other parts of our bodies.
• You can’t just treat the symptoms that are causing you discomfort. You have to get to the core of it and get rid of what’s causing these symptoms.
• You have to sit down and backtrack what has happened to understand what is causing you this imbalance within your body.
• A stressful environment will have effects on your body.
• Humans are the only ones to be able to change our environment and still thrive.
• Getting rest and the appropriate diet will have to keep your body out of a fog and stay in balance.
• Sometimes making small and simple adjustments to our lifestyle can be just as effective then big life-altering ones.
• The first part that’s key to your health is to make a plan and follow through with it.
• Skipping meals, for example like working through lunch, will affect you and we aren’t built with the bandwidth to function properly doing so.
• Having the support and helping each other can ensure that we don’t get burned out in times of busy multitasking.
• Getting your body moving is a good way to make sure you stay balanced and healthy.
• Pain is a response to a threat in our bodies.
• We have a system in our body that regulates it and a system in our body that tells it to slow down. If these two systems are off balance it will cause pain and other issues within our bodies.
• Getting yourself lined up to help those systems will help you stay balanced. For example, slowing down your breathing when you need to without consciously doing so.
• Having an imbalance in your body can have effects on your hormones and sex.
• There are two things that can help you start with getting your body back in balance. These are self-compassion meditation and chewing your food!
• Meditation can help you with your breathing and to calm your body down for a clear mindset.
• Chewing your food will help you digest it more effectively and will eliminate bloating.
