While we have been experiencing social distancing on a global level because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the concept of interpersonal space and how it is influenced by culture comes to mind. Edward T. Hall, an American anthropologist theorised this notion in 1966, and we are experiencing today how extraordinary circumstances and events can have a lasting impact on culture.
