Today on the show I am joined by the fabulous Alexes Terry of TwistEd Teaching. She is the founder and lead Instructional Success Consultant with TwistED Teaching Educational Consulting. As a native of Los Angeles, her experiences growing up in a community and attending schools negatively affected by gang-violence, drug abuse, and poor teaching, inspired Alexes to enter the field of education. She is a professional educator with 10 years of experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, and leading educators through workshops, professional developments and, most importantly, teacher mentoring. She does all of this using the theories of Culturally Responsive Teaching, Reality Pedagogy, and Data Driven Instruction to support educators in their journey to transform urban classrooms and schools.
