About our guest, Luccas Contreras from his own words:
I am finishing my MSW at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and am a dad of 3 boys under the age of 7. I have worked in the field of Social Work and Mental Health for 14 years. I currently work as a Behavioral Health Facilitator in a County Medicaid-funded program called Comprehensive Community Support (CCS). CCS is intended to assist individuals who need care outside of inpatient settings and may have ongoing needs that, if left unaddressed, could result in hospitalizations during times of crisis.
I am passionate about addressing toxic masculinity, the effects of men seeking mental health treatment, and changing the stigma around men needing therapy for eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental illnesses.
