In this episode, I talk with my aunt, Helen Miller, about her former job as a State Representative in Webster County, Iowa. We discuss a wide range of things, from how a girl from Newark, New Jersey went on to hold elected office for 16 (!!!) years, all the way to life after politics. She informs the audience on how to run for office, what it's like once you're in, how to learn when and when not to compromise, as well as how to best fight for the needs of the people.
