In today’s episode, students from Mrs. Gooslin’s third grade class decided to create a podcast episode about Groundhog Day. From beginning to end, students organized, researched and edited even the smallest of details of the show as they discussed the history behind this famous, Pennsylvania tradition. Students also made predictions whether or not if they believed Phil would see his shadow. Then, about an hour later we had a very special guest to stop by our class today to say, “Hi!” So of course, we asked Mr. Scott Hawkins, the Woodford County Public School’s Superintendent if he would like to answer a few questions about Groundhog Day and what he hoped would happen.
