Have you ever stopped to wonder why we worship God? Is it because He needs our worship? Does He crave our adoration and praise? The truth is, God doesn't need our worship. He is complete and whole in Himself. However, we need to worship Him.
Revelation 4:11 says, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." We were created for God's pleasure, not the other way around. Our worship of Him is not for His benefit, but for ours.
Max Lucado once said, "We don't worship God to get His attention. We worship God to align our attention with reality." When we worship God, we are acknowledging that He is the Creator of all things and the source of all goodness in our lives. We are aligning ourselves with the truth that we are not in control, but God is.
Worshiping God also brings benefits into our lives. When we are properly aligned with God, we experience peace, joy, and contentment. We are able to see our lives from a new perspective and find meaning and purpose in our existence. We are able to trust God and rely on Him to guide us through life's challenges.
So my friend, let us worship God not because He needs our worship, but because we need to worship Him. Let us align ourselves with reality and receive the benefits that come from being properly connected to Him. Let us give Him the glory, honor, and power that He deserves. For He is worthy of our worship, and in worshiping Him, we find true life and fulfillment
