WHO IS MY GUEST?
Siri Chilazi is a gender and organizations researcher at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School whose life’s work is to advance gender equality in the workplace through research and research translation.
Siri operates at the intersection of academia and practice: she both conducts research on how organizations can become more inclusive, and brings those research insights to practitioners through speaking, training and workshops. As an advisor and scholar, Siri frequently collaborates with organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and leading professional service firms in order to close gender gaps. She has presented at numerous conferences around the world, and her work has appeared in media outlets including Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, BBC, Fast Company, Bloomberg News, and Forbes. Siri has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College.

3 BIGGEST GOLDEN NUGGETS
(1) You are in the driver seat of your career. Nobody cares about your life, your happiness and professional development as much as you do. Don’t wait for things to happen. Ask for things like promotions, projects and high-visibility opportunities. And even as a junior: reach out to seniors to schedule 1-on-1 meetings.
(2) People are not just robots. We need a revolution in work: organizations that embrace holistically organizational life and help people thrive personally and professionally wholeheartedly.
(3) Our minds are biased but so are our systems, processes and environments. Research shows: awareness alone is not enough to change behavior.
