One day Jesus and his disciples went into the desert for some quiet time, but the crowd saw them go and followed them on foot. And others joined them along the way. Among the crowd was a young boy who wanted to see Jesus and hear him talk. He brought a small lunch with him of five loaves of barley and two fish since it was a long walk. Jesus taught all day long in that desert and when it was getting close to evening, the people---at least 5000 in the crowd---were very hungry. No one had brought food except the young boy with his little lunch. What were they going to eat? It was too expensive to buy food for everyone, and besides, it was too late to get food in the far away village. What would they do? They could not send all the people home hungry! Listen to the story to find out what happens.
