Description

Early on, Caroline Fairweather knew that she was going to be on stage and would be doing it for years to come. From her earliest days in a production at the former Berkshire Theatre Festival as a child, shining in the golden era of Taconic High School's Theatre program under the legendary Jess Passetto, as a theatre major at Williams College to now headlining with roles in the Theatre Barn, Barrington Stage Company and Williamstown Theatre Festival, among others - she's following her passion with all she's got. In our conversation, we cover her training in the Suzuki acting method, self-awareness and being yourself in an industry where its counterintuitive to do so, work at the Forest of Arden company, making virtual Zoom performance work during the pandemic, open mic at the old J.Allen's with Mike Duffy, karaoke at NYC in K-town, upcoming performances this summer in Boston Marriage and Fiddler's Three at the Theatre Barn and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in Connecticut, choosing to audition in NYC or the Berkshires for "summer stock" productions, artistic directors who operate food trucks, the nightmare of doing your taxes as an actor after working for a variety of different companies in a given year, following your dream in NYC in a "rich kid's game," giving it her all and enjoying every moment.
I hope you'll enjoy my conversation with Caroline Fairweather.
