Lawrence Carroll is an educational consultant, inspirational speaker, workshop facilitator, experienced teacher and Certified Life Coach, serving at Canyon Ranch Institute for many years, among other organizations. Lawrence and John talk the power of meditation, mindfulness and dive into his three decade spiritual journey that took him to India and Indonesia, after leaving the teaching profession in Australia. He came back to teaching in the United States in 2006, and established his consultation work in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, coaching with a focus on mindfulness and with the practice of meditation.
Lawrence's book A Climate for Learning: A Teacher's Guide to Creating an Emotionally Intelligent Classroom in the First Four Days of School, offers tools for teachers to build a solid rapport and a foundation of trust for students - and vice versa - before diving into the curriculum in today's test-driven public education setting.

As a high school math teacher with 17 years of experience in Australia and the USA, he transformed his classroom from an environment of struggle to one of ease, joy and fulfillment.
