Description

Richard Morales went blind at the age of 52 but this didn't stop him from living his life and enjoying every part of it. Richard learned a new norm when he unexpectedly lost his eyesight at the age of 52. December 2020 Richard received his associate's degree from Yavapai Community College.

Richard losing his eyesight was not his first challenge in his life. In 1999 Richard was pained by the passing of his daughter Erika who was brutally murdered at the age of 18. This changed his life, but little did he know his future would have a full circle with receiving his associate's degree and now helps others as a Crisis Lineworker.

Honoring the life and memory of his daughter Erika has given Richard a great reward knowing he can help others who need someone on the other side of their hurt.
