(Have you wondered, as I do, why everything in our culture is an issue not a problem to be solved. I believe this is a political tactic by a country run be 545 elected officials (100 senators, 435 congressmen, 9 supreme court justices and a President) that don’t want to be transparent on our deep underlying financial and social problems)
Rome is the best example of a great society that consumed itself with power and control of its people’s emotions and values. While the Senate debated issues (fiddled) and the military carried on with its intent to rule the world, Rome was burning internally. Without competent leadership, the issues overshadowed the internal problems, that would spark the fire of over consumption and over indulgence in a violent culture. Julius Ceaser, elected pontifex maximus (High Priest), allegedly by heavy bribes, profited from the use of mass media to entertain the people with gladiators, excess consumption of food, sex and addictions and land gabs.
The Senate was led by Consuls (Senators) who commanded the army, presided over the Senate and executed its decrees. Ceaser formed a political alliance with Pompey and Marcus Lincinius Crassus, the wealthiest man in Rome, who was elected lead Consul of the Senate. Ceaser’s army successes and conquests aroused Pompey’s jealousy leading to the collapse of their political alliance. As result, Ceaser was appointed Roman Consul and Dictator of the empire. But he was assassinated on March 15, 44 B.C. by a group of Senate conspirators who believed they could restore the Roman Republic. However, the “Ides if March” plunged Rome into civil wars destroying the Republic forever.
America, in many ways, is a replica of the rise and fall of Rome. Our Ceaser is Donald Trump and our Pompey is the Democratic Party. President Trump’s successes and conquests aroused the Senate and House jealousy, leading to the political alliance of both parties to dump Trump. The “ides of March 2021 led to the revival of the Democratic party as the progressive movement to destroy America with excess spending and destruction of the free market enterprise envied by the rest of the World. Why else would every refugee want to risk their lives to come to America?
With the new Administration led by Marcus Lincinius Biden, the newly elected President, all of the successes accomplished by Trump (Ceaser) were reversed by the progressives under the executive orders and policies written by Senators Sanders, Schumer and Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House thus creating a Congress bent on destroying America’s sovereignty and capitalist control. Using mass spending bills, trillions in stimulus money funded by a state of fear, conducted by 22 million bureaucrats using the “issue” campaign that ignores the problems it causes, destroying the Republic forever.
All because we have two parties debating issues causing gridlock in Congress to distract enterprising Americans from the real problems of our financial collapse (see debt clock http://www.usdebtclock.org) … thus the burning of America’s future as our Rome’s “ides of March” 2021 style. Essentially, we are broke and the Republic is being destroyed by the media and big business. Our borders are broken, overwhelmed by immigrants that expect their share of this American Dream with our Machiavelli leaders welcoming them as the new Republic voters putting the Democrats in control as emperor Pro Tem of the American Empire.
We then are a country of one-party issues not two-party problem solving. A country of no enforcement of the Rule of Law. A country of over population and millions unemployed living in tents cities. A country of fear and lock down for any virus. A country that can’t service its debt. A country dependent on the debt clock (www.usdebtclock.org) that is essentially bankrupt. Thus, emerges a third party. The American Enterprise Party.
