Dr. Breland is an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina, doctoral capstone coordinator, and past president of the Association of Rheumatology Professionals, the interprofessional division of the American College of Rheumatology. Her academic areas of focus include diversity, equity, and inclusion; interprofessional education, community engagement, occupational therapy clinical education; and, patient-centered interventions for chronic conditions
