Personal Application Questions:

1. Think about some people in your life that you find hard to love. What is it about them that bothers you? What part of your life are they threatening?

2. Meditate on 1 Peter 3:13–17. How does doing good in the face of an attack benefit you and the gospel?

3. Consider several ways you can better treat the people you identified in question #1. What are some sacrifices you can make for the sake of demonstrating the same love Christ had for you?

4. Reflect upon Psalm 73. Think about the emotions and thoughts the psalmist is going through as he attempts to live a righteous life in the midst of a wicked world. Then go to God in prayer with the same heart that laments and cries for the goodness of God.
