Nearly 1/3 of caregivers are caring for both adults with a disability or complex medical conditions and a child under 18. These individuals are know as the sandwich generation.

The host explains the golden opportunity there is for social workers to work in geriatrics not just in direct practice but in the Macro levels especially on the policy side. The host provides where social workers can look for roles to work with older adults.

The podcast is sponsored by DBA Bas Moreno Consulting providing financial education and counseling for people of color in the sandwich generation who are struggling with their finances while caregiving.
