Rosita L. Marinez is a social work leader dedicated to fighting for social justice and equality for the most vulnerable populations such as the chronically homeless, individuals with serious mental illness, and individuals with HIV/AIDS. Ms. Marinez has twenty years of experience in the non-profit sector, of which fifteen years has been in leadership positions. Her areas of expertise include program development, budgeting, program evaluation, and operational management.
As the Director of Housing Operations at Fountain House- New York, Ms. Marinez has opened a Housing Resource Center (HRC) for the members and staff at the clubhouse. The HRC provides and connects members and staff to internal and external housing options. Ms. Marinez has also created a Slack channel to post housing information and resources. In addition, Ms. Marinez created the Housing Resource Council to expand and establish a new collaboration with New York City providers and federal, state, and city agencies.
Ms. Marinez is also a soon to be co-author of the upcoming Latinx in Social Work Volume 2. The book is scheduled to be released in October 2022.
