Description

Abi introduces the series with information on marketing tactics used during the promotion of Jennifer’s Body and goes on to discuss the film’s title. Having been named after a song on Hole’s 1994 Live Through This album, it has been said the song's lyrics are linked to an abduction case in 1977.
Often referred to as the Girl in the Box, Colleen Stan was kept captive and abused for seven years by Cameron Hooker and his wife Janice. Colleen was hitchhiking from her home in Oregon to a friend's birthday party in Northern California when she believed she found a safe ride. A husband and wife with a baby appeared harmless, she was gravely mistaken.
Her faith and compliance kept her alive and she was freed, saying nothing to the authorities. Her story was heard once Janice reported Cameron for another horrible crime and he is in prison.
