Description

In the series conclusion, Abi begins by wrapping up on the inspiration behind Scream's writing. Turns out, personal experience also had a lot to do with the fabric of the films.

The episode goes on to discuss the incredibly disturbing and sad murder of 16-year-old Cassie Jo Stoddart. The crime is referred to as the 'Scream Murder' due to the killers stating they aspired to live out the film's events.

Two of Cassie's peers from school decided they would recreate a horror film scenario the night Cassie was to begin her housesitting job at her uncle and aunt's home. On Friday September 22, 2006, Cassie was attacked with knives and left for dead until being found late on Sunday. Brian Draper and Torey Adamcik were giddy with excitement as they recorded themselves talking after the murder. Sound clips begin around 28:00.

The boys plans would fall through the cracks as interrogations would heat up. They remain at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna, Ada County, serving their life sentences without the possibility of parole.
