Paola Hernandez is a musical theatre actress who is originally from Puerto Rico. Her big break was traveling the country on the 20th anniversary national tour of Rent. She started off as a swing where she covered all the female ensemble tracks as well as Mrs. Cohen, Maureen Johnson, Mimi Marquez and the Seasons of Love soloist. and eventually became the principal Mimi Marquez. On tour, she got the chance to share the stage with two other people who have been on the podcast, Katie LaMark (Season 3) and Lyndie Moe (Season 2). When she left the tour, Tori Palin (Season 3) took over the same track that she got to do while on the road. In early 2022, Hernandez got the chance to revisit her Rent roots when she did a production of the hit show at A.C.T out on the east coast. In this production, she played the role of Mimi Marquez and graced the audience with her rendition of Out Tonight. Hernandez has a true love for Rent and it holds a near and dear place in her heart.
