Former Gretna, Dundee United, St Johnstone, Hearts and Carlisle United full back Danny Grainger joins me for this latest episode of the Campbells Footballs podcast. We reminisce around the Gretna days - being inspired by Brooks Mileson and Rowan Alexander and playing alongside Alan Main, Derek Townsley, James Grady and others.
I also chat to Danny about playing at Dundee United and St Johnstone as well as winning the Scottish Cup as a player with Hearts. There is a fantastic tribute to Paulo Sergio in our discussion and Danny gave me an unbelievable insight on his emotions during that final against Hibernian in which Hearts win 5-1 and Danny scores a penalty in the final.
Danny also talked to me about his times at Carlisle United too and finished up by discussing his time now as player/manager at Workington Town.
