The Irish League marathon begins here on Campbell's Footballs as we gear up for the Irish Cup semi finals and final. Over the course of the next 7 episodes I'll be joined by characters from the Irish League who come on to talk about their stories and journeys so far.
We start off the marathon with former Cliftonville and Sligo Rovers manager Gerard Lyttle. We discuss Gerard's playing days which were hampered by a succession of injuries. We talk about starting out at Celtic before journeys to Swindon and Peterborough. We then discuss Gerard's playing days in the NI league before making the move into management. We hear more in Gerard's story about working alongside Cliftonville legend Tommy Breslin, winning the Irish League club with the Reds, managing in the Republic of Ireland with Sligo Rovers and more! There's also some excellent stories involving Joel Taggart, Liam Beckett and his good mate Jim Magilton!
