Buckle up, Gleeks—it’s the 100th episode, which means Glee is throwing everything at the wall to see what sings. Sticks! To see what sticks. This is a no-pun zone (allegedly). We’ve got a chaotic double-feature recap for you because everyone showed up for this one and we talked too long, so you’re getting Part 1 and Part 2. The algorithm says no one wants 2.5-hour episodes 🤷♀️.
In Part 1 of this very special (read: unhinged) 100th episode, New Directions is being shut down for real this time (no, seriously—for real), and suddenly everyone who graduated three years ago but never emotionally left is back in the choir room. Quinn’s here, Puck’s lurking, Mercedes is glowing, and Santana is serving full sass-per-minute per SAG-AFTRA guidelines.
💥 Plot? Technically, yes:
Sue’s destroying the glee club because she hates joy. Or music. Or teenagers. It’s unclear.
Will is spiraling but trying to disguise it as leadership.
Everyone’s singing songs we’ve already heard, now with 50% more nostalgia filters and wistful glances. (Spoiler: the OG versions were better.)
Rachel wants to rewrite history (again), Mercedes isn’t having it (again), and a sing-off happens that is somehow both unnecessary and essential to our healing.
Puck and Quinn have tension—the kind that says “we’ve made questionable choices before and might again”—and everyone agrees to just look the other way.
🎭 In short: Everyone is reflecting on how far they’ve come by pretending they never left. It’s self-indulgent, over-the-top, and completely on brand.
The glee club is dying but not quietly. And neither are we.
