On this episode of The Awake Podcast, we sit down with Parish Stone to talk about overcoming the odds. Force to grow up quickly, Parish shares her story of childhood abuse and neglect. After losing her mom at just 13 years old, she was forced to move in with grandparents and friends, and away from her hometown of Quinlan, TX. In this episode, she shares her most precious story of salvation from an unlikely source and how a God encounter changed everything. This episode is part love story as she talks about her childhood sweetheart who she is not only married to, but together, they have five children. Through her adoption journey, they added a young daughter just months into their marriage and later three natural children and second adoption of their oldest daughter.
From the time of leaving her home town to the present, in her journey of healing, God reignited a dream and presented an opportunity to go back to her and her husband's hometown to love the city and the people of which they call home. Parish and her husband, Casey, lead Stone Ministries which includes Generation Faith Center, Generation Faith Education Center, a podcast and summer camp all in Quinlan, Texas.
