So recently I have been hosting Thursday and Friday rooms in clubhouse with a friend and fellow brander and marketer, Melanie Tvete. Last week we hosted rooms all about getting over the fear of sharing your story.
And did these rooms blow up! Women from all around the world joined us to share their struggles, their stories, and why they have been holding back.
As a female entrepreneur, and someone who has held back from sharing my story for years, I totally relate to these women.
It has me thinking, however, are you holding back from sharing your story with the world?
Over my time in business, my own personal experience and the things that hold back my clients from sharing their stories boil down to three things
1- They are scared of sharing because it brings up a whole lot of fear, and for some that is too much because sharing their story, that runs the risk of being judged, puts them in a vulnerable position and are often concerned with or are worried or concerned about what the judgment of others will mean and place too much pressure or attachment of the good opinions of other people
2- They don’t feel that their story is relevant enough, or interesting enough to their audience. ‘No one is going to care about my story'
3- They don’t really know how or where to begin and what is relevant to their audience, ie what to share and what not to
