It's that time of the year again... When George Lucas and his followers try to forget about the meme that is The Star Wars Holiday Special. Released by CBS on November 17, 1978, the holiday special was a tale of Chewbacca trying to make it home in time to celebrate the Wookie holiday "Life Day". The TV special - aimed to bring in tons of revenue and excitement for the Star Wars franchise - turned into a major embarrassment after an hour and a half of monotonous television performed in a variety show setting.
