In recent past India has witnessed some of the worst inhuman acts in history. People were killed because they have different food choices from the other. Food is a basic necessity. Everyone should be allowed to eat the food of their choice under the legal purview. But the murders for eating beef have made things difficult and show that there is a severe social problem exists in Indian society that has to be discussed.
Hinduism is the major religion in India. And the cow is regarded as the holy animal which makes a sin(!!!!) for a Hindu to eat beef. When people belonging to other religion eats beef they are said to get hurt and mob gather in the name of gau rakshas (cow protection groups) and lynch innocent person who ate or believed to have eaten beef.
