Can you imagine going through life only looking through a magnifying glass? I mean that sounds terrible to me. We could never see the beauty of a sunset.

Sometimes in life that is how we are seeing the world. So up close and zoomed in everything seems overwhelming and an emergency. When we are viewing life from this perspective it is very hard to think our way out because we can't see facts and reality for what it is.
