On this episode: Marcus has a conversation with Joe Lofton. A college teammate at Tiffin University, this Pittsburgh native is living out his dream working for his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Youth Football Coordinator. Growing up, Joe loved basketball first, but football ultimately worked itself into the picture as he entered high school. The area Joe grew up in produce more than 100 football players that I have played or is currently playing in the NFL. With this exposure attracted top colleges to his high school of Woodland Hills, but things went differently for Joe.
This conversation is filled with good gems and lessons that can help the next high school or college athlete realize that if you first dream of playing professional sports doesn’t work out, you can still pursue a career in sports, but what are you going to do to ensure that happens? Just as if you were preparing for a game, you have to prepare the same way in life when you are looking for your next career. You have to motivated, determined, and discipline in order to be successful and in this conversation, Joe Lofton spoke to that in his own words while he shared his story with us!
