This topic was introduced by Dylan's therapist, Dr. Cobb during his last session. In short, living in a reactionary state (state of survival) is typically trauma based. Contrary to this, a proactive state is goal-oriented, and not easily swayed by what the world throws at you. This episode will go into depth on this and provide action items to help push you towards a proactive lifestyle.
