Description

About 500 years before Christopher Columbus crossed the ocean blue (1492), Erik the Red and Leif Erikson set out on the North Atlantic Ocean and started settlements on Greenland. Erik's son Leif went on to be the first European to reach the New World, a feat that was so difficult that he was seldom believed by his fellow man.
