We, as a society, are impatient. So, so, incredibly impatient. We’ve been taught that it’s normal to have instant gratification for most things in life - our food, technology, transportation, and definitely our fitness results. There are endless ads for dropping an insane amount of weight in an insanely short amount of time. So it’s really not your fault that you believe these things to be “normal.” But, it doesn’t work that way. It never has and never will. Instead of getting fed up because you aren’t seeing instant results, or your fad diet backfired and you are up more weight then when you started, take a new approach. Agree to a slow and steady approach. Understand that it’s going to take time. Your job is to quit quitting!
