A week after Jim Lehrer’s passing I share my memories of my former boss, who was a father figure to me. A true journalist with the highest of standards he stuck to his Wichita, Kansas and Texas roots despite criticism of his reporting style and handling of his 12th — and final — U.S. Presidential Election Debate in 2012.
