We end the series with one of Miyazaki's great loves: planes! The Wind Rises explores the life of Jiro Horikoshi, whose obsession with planes sparks a desire to make the best airplane ever. However, with the rumblings of war in the country, Jiro is faced with the dilemma of his airplanes being used as weapons. Join us as we explore how this movie resonates with his past works as well as push the boundaries of his work into new territories. The Wind Rises may be Miyazaki's greatest love letter to airplanes to date!
