Hello Everyone,
The guest we have today, is a first-generation Latinx- American actress, activist, and filmmaker. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Luciana came to the US with an academic scholarship to study at Fordham University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and later continued her education in international politics at Columbia Graduate School. Now a working actress based in Los Angeles, Luciana has acted alongside the actors like Robert Downey Jr., Sir Ben Kingsley, Jennifer Lopez, Ted Danson, and Justin Chambers to name a few. She produces/ writes/ directs original content as an outlet to provide opportunities to emerging artists of all cultural backgrounds. Her first feature, Don’t Look, received 6 award nominations and 4 wins in the festival circuit. Luciana is currently working on set a of 4 short films that bring to light social issues to raise consciousness and a docuseries about female empowerment and the sexual revolution in the United States. Luciana also works as an influencer using her platform to discuss issues of equal pay, immigration, and overcoming hardship.
We explored some of the social topics around women empowerment, her initiatives, and how she is managing to play multiple roles and responsibilities. It was very interesting to see how is she leading her passion along with a purpose.
