For years I was frustrated with myself, disappointed and angry for being a "victim" of my circumstances.
My thoughts constantly tethered around the principle that if I hadn't been hit by a car I would be able to compete as an athlete at the very highest level.
It's still hard to believe, even after all these years that, in 2012, I was just millimeters away from losing function of my legs.
At the time I felt useless. I felt like a fake. I couldn’t even demonstrate a single squat! What kind of role model is that?
But I knew that with hard work, with dedication, with commitment and consistency, I could rebuild myself up again!
We all have our obstacles, whether it be weight-loss or injury, but it is up to us to decide whether or not we want to accept it as the truth or change the outcome.
On this episode of the Fall In Love With Fitness Podcast, I get interviewed by none other than Amy Novotny where we speak about how to stop yourself from feeling overwhelmed when it comes to fitness, what it means to have a slow metabolism, and how often we should be moving our bodies each day.
