Pilot project. Intro episode.
To say Brk/Thru began its musical journey in 2015 wouldn't be accurate, although the duo played its first show under this moniker in December that year. In reality, the chaddi buddies (childhood friends) Rohan Gaikwad and Christopher Naidu partnered up primarily because of their love and devotion to house music. And their musical journey truly began way back in 2007.
Over the years, Brk/Thru has played some banging tunes at the top venues across the country. The duo has performed and built a dedicated fan following at High Spirits, Planet Hollywood, Waters, F Beach House and ECO, to name a few.
They may not be a household name outside the country yet, but the duo have also produced their own music and have performed with some of the biggest names in the country. What makes them special? They genuinely care about music and it's ability to evoke deep emotion in the heart of a listener.
And this is how the brkthrupodcast was born, with a single idea: build a community of like-minded individuals capable of putting India on the world map of electronic music. Brk/Thru appreciates how hard it is to create a name for oneself, given the fact that they themselves had their share of struggles. With this in mind, they interview some of the biggest DJs, producers, musicians, night-life entrepreneurs, and MCs, bringing to light some of the struggles, fears, anxieties they have faced and continue to face in their lives.
They say you learn from your own mistakes. But don't we also learn from the experiences of others? This podcast will allow you to share in the joys and sorrows of some of the top names in the music industry. You'll see how they fought their insecurities and faced their demons.
