Whose side is God on?
In the book of Joshua we read an interesting encounter Joshua has with the Angel of the Lord. Joshua asks him, “Are you on our side or our enemies side?”
The reply surprises us, because he said, “Neither.”
It would be a safe bet that because Israel was God’s chosen people that He would be on their side, but that is not the case. God doesn’t pick and choose which side He will be on, rather He calls us to be on His side. How can we be on God’s side? That is the lesson we learn through the book of Joshua.
Big idea: God’s people need to continue to choose to follow Him.
Challenge: Ask God to give you guidance on a choice you have to make or a difficulty you are facing.
