One of Jesus’ closest friends during his earthly ministry was a man He called Peter. Decades after his time spent alongside the Lord, Peter penned a letter to a group of “exiles” who are far from the geographical foundation of the Church. These exiles were not only far from home, so to speak, but experiencing immense suffering. Yet, Peter reminds them of the living hope they have in Jesus Christ.
