Last week we learned that we are to love others the same way Jesus perfectly loved us: selflessly, humbly, entirely. In the verses studied this week, Jesus continues by identifying the purpose for this unselfish love. Namely, “to bear fruit.” So, as Jesus concludes His vineyard metaphor, we will see this week the calling to be a friend of God, and discuss the “fruit” that it bears.
