In the opening chapter of the letter to the Ephesian church, the apostle Paul tells us of the sovereignty of God. He explains that God chose His children before the world was created and adopted them into His family. Because of the resurrection of Jesus, God’s chosen people have been redeemed, forgiven, and sealed with the Holy Spirit until they receive the inheritance that awaits them in eternity.
